Overview
The Green Island-Troy Bridge is one of the few remaining draw bridges in the area. Built in 1982 to replace the old bridge that once cloapsed without any warning. The current bridge provides access over the Husdon River for Green Island and Troy.

The Green Island-Troy Bridge is a vital connection to Downtown Troy. Green Island's only eastern access also is part of this bridge's importance.

The former Green Island-Troy Bridge was much like the Troy-Menands Bridge to the south, with twin towers for lifting the bridge deck. The former bridge collapsed in 1977 when ice took out one of its piers.
