Overview
The new modern 112th Street Bridge retains much of the look of its predecessor.
The Old 112th Street Bridge, built in 1922, was demolished by controlled explosion in 1995.
Connecting Van Schaick Island of Cohoes to Historic Lansingburg neighborhood of North Troy.
The 112th Street Bridge today boasts a great historic design,
using haunched steel girders and other historical elements such as the masonry rail, masonry colonnade
towers and historic style lighting.
